Atlantic Airways has just landed a contract with Statoil, to handle the aviation aspect of their up-coming two exploration well drillings in Faroe waters, writes the Wall Street Journal.
The contract covers all the helicopter transport to and from the drilling platform and also the regular fixed-wing flights between Vagar airport and Norway.
According to the American newspaper, the well drillings are set to begin in the second quarter of 2014 and the drilling is expected to last for approximately 5-8 months.
The contract value is estimated between D.kr 26 to 41 million kroner.
