There can be no doubt that Dong is counted among the oil companies, which prioritise safety and the environment very highly. The Faroe government cabinet minister was given an insight into how professionally Dong operates in connection with contingency aspects. The Danish company operates several oil platforms in the North Sea and therefore contingency is a core interest area. This induced the Faroe minister with a “feel good” factor, as Dong is one of the companies leading the way in oil exploration in the Faroes.
